Compared with the conventional holography technology,the polarization holography technology records not only the amplitude and phase information of two polarized waves,but also their polarization information at the same time.Polarized holography technology has attracted much attention because of its ability to record polarization information in photo-anisotropic polarization-sensitive materials.However,the practical application of polarization holography technology is still in the stage of continuous exploration and discovery up till the present moment.The polarization holography technology has been developed for a period since its theory based on Jones matrix description is first proposed.However,due to the interference angle with the limitation of paraxial approximation,the application of polarization holography technology is limited.The proposal of new polarization holography theory which breaks the limitation of the paraxial approximation of the interference angle and using large interference angles to record the polarization holography.This is a completely new definition of the polarization holography theory.The new polarization holography theory is based on the polarization holography theory described by the dielectric tensor.It records the polarized hologram through the transformation of the dielectric tensor in the photoinduced anisotropic molecules of the polarization-sensitive material.In the theoretical analysis,the dielectric tensor is substituted into the wave equation obtained by Maxwell's equations to obtain the expression of the diffracted wave,which represents the reconstruction signal of the new polarization holography.In recent years,based on the polarization holography theory of the dielectric tensor description,the related achievements have been based on the study of the recording and reconstruction characteristics of polarized wave interference of the same polarization.Hence,in this paper,the polarization holography theory based on the description of the dielectric tensor is used to focus on the reconstruction characteristics of polarization holography based on different polarizations.According to the theoretical calculation and analysis,under the non-paraxial approximation of the interference angle,we employ the linearly polarized wave as the reference wave to record the circularly polarized signal wave.When the exposure reaches a certain recording condition,the polarization state of the reconstructed wave obtained by using the arbitrarily polarized wave is identical to that of the original signal wave which is defined as faithful reconstruction.We have carefully designed an experimental scheme and verified the theoretical analysis results by experiments.The result further expands the faithful reconstruction in polarization holography and provides a practical method for generating circular polarization.Besides,this work will lay a good theoretical and experimental foundation for the preparation of circular polarization generators in the future,and reveal new insights for regulating the polarization operation of the light field.
