Abstract/Summary:
With the further development of network sciences,the study of propagation dynamics on complex networks has become an important tool to investigate various realworld propagation behaviors and attracted lots of scholars’ s attention.In this paper,we study the evolution of the vaccination opinion on complex networks for the vaccine that is both effective and has some side effects.We build a mathematical model to characterize the public vaccination awareness dynamics on networks.Then,we investigate how different factors influence the public vaccination opinion.The result shows that improving public awareness of vaccines significantly increases the vaccination rate and accelerates vaccination.Also,increasing the public reliance on their neighbors’ vaccination behavior encourages more individuals to get vaccinated and contributes to vaccination.Besides,individuals are more willing to get vaccinated if they have more neighbors.These results help people better understand public vaccination behavior to design more effective measures to encourage more people to get vaccinated.Then,we build a two-layer continuous-time complex dynamic network model to describe and analyze the opinion propagation process on networks with considering the characteristics of opinion propagation in real social networks.We consider the node pairs in the two-layer network as a unit and study the opinion propagation dynamics among the units.The research provides a new perspective to characterize the opinion propagation dynamics on networks.
