With the widespread use of lasers in manufacturing and the military,the use of composite materials in the field of laser protection is becoming increasingly important.The main cause of material plate failure is the large amount of thermal energy produced by laser irradiation.Under laser irradiation,the temperature field and strain field of the material plate must be investigated.The damage mechanism of carbon fiber epoxy composite material T300/AG80 was observed and analyzed in this paper at normal,high,and laser irradiation temperatures.The mechanical properties of a carbon fiber epoxy composite plate were measured and calculated at normal and high temperatures.The tensile failure strength and effective elastic modulus of the plate were measured at various temperatures,and the effect of temperature on the material's mechanical properties was investigated.The longitudinal and lateral effective elastic moduli,as well as other physical thermal performance parameters,were used to create a numerical model.ABAQUS finite element software was used to investigate the effect of laser irradiation on the temperature field of a composite plate.The effect of laser and material parameters on the plate's thermal influence area under laser irradiation was investigated.Laser distribution mode,laser strength,laser spot radius,and other parameters were among the laser parameters.The findings show that the laser parameters have the greatest influence on the material plate's thermal influence area range,while the material parameters are directly related to the temperature value size and shape of the thermal influence area.Numerical simulation and test comparison were used to investigate the variation of the strain field on the surface of composite materials under laser irradiation.The distribution of the strain field is consistent with the numerically calculated distribution of the temperature field and strain field.It is demonstrated that the numerical model's precision is good,and the calculation results are useful for engineering reference.
