The genus Blastococcus was first isolated in 1970,and officially classified in 2006 from the Frankiaceae as a genus of Geodermatophilaceae,which contains 11 valid species published in this gunes(https://lpsn.dsmz.de/ genus/blastococcus).The members of Blastococcus have been detected from nutrient-poor environments such as deserts,rocks,bricks and sea.In this study,strain Blastococcus sp.LR1,isolated from root tissues of Phpagmites australis in Hasuhai Wetland of Inner Mongolia was taxonomically identified using multiphase classification method and complete genome analysis was performed.The strain LR1 T is a noval species of gunes Blastococcus in the family Geobacillaceae.Strain LR1 T is a Gram-stain-positive,globular,non-flagellated aerobic bacterium.Phylogenetic analysis based on 16 S rRNA gene sequences indicated that the strain LR1 T was most closely related to Blastococcus aggregatus CPCC 205347T(98.7%).The maximum values of whole genome average nucleotide identity(ANI)analysis and digital DNA–DNA hybridization(dDDH)between strain LR1 T and the closely related type strains were 86.39%(< 95%)and 31.7%(< 70%),respectively.The predominant cellular fatty acids(>10%)were anteiso A-C17:1;anteiso-C17:0;C17:0 3OH,The major polar lipids were identified as diphospholidylglycerol(DPG),phosphatidylethanolamine(PE),phosphatidylglycerol(PG)and two unknown aminophospholipids(APL).The genomic G+C content of strain LR1 T is 73 mol%.The type strain of this species is LR1T(= NBRC115193T=CGMCC 1.19176NBRCT).Genome sequencing showed that genome size of strain LR1 T was 4.7 Mb and 10 contigs(N50 of 647057 bp),containing 3937 predicted CDS and 59 RNA genes(53 for tRNA and 6 for rRNA).Analysis of carbohydrate metabolic pathways indicated that the strain has potential cellulose degradation functions.Through the sampling of plant roots and microbial isolation and identification,culturable microorganisms were systematically classified and identified.The discovery of new species enriched the root microbial species,filled the microbial gene database,and provided bacterial resources for the rhizosphere bacterial species resource bank and the study of The Genus Blasococcus.
