Abstract/Summary:
Climate change has increasingly evolved into a crisis of globalization.Since the industrial revolution,the burning of fossil fuels has brought a lot of carbon emissions,leading to the formation of the greenhouse effect.Global warming will destroy the ecological balance of the earth,trigger a series of disasters,and then threaten human health and survival and development.Cities are areas where greenhouse gas emissions are concentrated.As an important industrial city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,Handan has a long-term"high investment"and"high energy consumption"economic development model that has caused a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions.This article mainly calculates and analyzes the greenhouse gas emissions of various departments in Handan City from 2010 to 2019,in order to provide scientific guidance for Handan City’s greenhouse gas emission reduction and low-carbon city construction.This paper collects the required data through relevant yearbook data,and calculates and analyzes the energy activities,industrial production,agricultural activities and waste in Handan City based on the"2006 IPCC National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Guidelines"and"Provincial Greenhouse Gas Inventory Guidelines".The greenhouse gas emissions of the four sectors were processed and a comparative analysis was carried out.Then it analyzes Handan City’s per capita,unit area,10,000 yuan GDP greenhouse gas emissions,carbon emission intensity and energy intensity,and evaluates the greenhouse gas level.Finally,the Tapio decoupling model is used to analyze the relationship between Handan’s economic growth and carbon emissions,and the Kaya identity and LMDI decomposition method are used to explore the driving factors of Handan’s carbon emissions.From 2010 to 2019,the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions in Handan City has changed from 25410.80 to 32614.23 ten thousand t CO2e,mainly from energy activities,of which fossil fuel combustion accounts for the majority.Handan City consumes a lot of energy,and the range of energy consumption over the years is from 6991.22 to 84.877 million tce.Industrial production emissions are the second largest source of emissions,mainly from steel production,and emissions from agricultural activities and waste disposal are relatively low.The main greenhouse gas emissions in Handan are CO2,with CO2 contributing more than 98%.CO2 comes from energy activities and industrial production,followed by CH4 emissions,and finally N2O emissions.From 2010 to 2019,the annual per capita greenhouse gas emissions in Handan City ranged from 28.06 to 34.88 t/cap,far exceeding the national average.The annual greenhouse gas emissions per unit area varied from 213.67 to 270.12 t/hm2,and the annual emissions per 10,000 yuan of GDP The amount varies from 7.77 to 11.38t/10,000 yuan,and the greenhouse gas emission level is all IIIc,which is in a state of serious pollution.Most of Handan’s economic growth and carbon emissions were in a state of decoupling from 2010 to 2019,and in 2015-2017,it was in a state of strong decoupling for three consecutive years.Analysis of Factors Influencing Carbon Emissions in Handan City The energy intensity effect has the greatest impact,which has a restraining effect on carbon emissions.The three factors of energy structure effect,economic effect and population effect promote carbon emissions.Handan City consumes a lot of energy and has high steel production,which leads to huge greenhouse gas emissions.Reducing and controlling energy consumption is the key to Handan’s greenhouse gas emission reduction.
