At present, seepage in natural soil is a common problem in geotechnical engineering practice. Therefore, studying seepage and seepage laws of different types of soils and in-depth exploration of their characteristics are of great significance to solving engineering practice problems and preventing engineering disasters. The research methods for rock and soil permeability problems usually use relatively high test costs and test techniques with more complicated test operations to study such problems.Conventional test methods have certain limitations in some aspects,so seek a non-destructive and low cost The easy-to-operate research technology is of great significance. In recent years, the method of simulating specific types of soil through transparent synthetic materials to study the physical properties of natural soil has been developed by many scientific researchers at home and abroad. This paper uses a new type of transparent soil that simulates soft clay as the basic test material, combined with transparent soil test technology and Simple particle image velocity measurement technology observes and analyzes the seepage of transparent soft clay under certain test conditions, and conducts basic physical property tests and GDS flexible wall penetration tests on materials to explore the seepage problems of transparent soft clay,Summarized the permeability characteristics of this new type of transparent soil. The main research work and content are as follows:(1)The research status of transparent soil test technology and particle image velocity technology are introduced as a whole, and the theoretical knowledge of the two test technologies are described, and different types of transparent soils correspond to different types of soils. And the application and practice of PIV particle image velocity measurement technology are elaborated(2)The basic information of this new type of transparent soft clay is introduced, and the preparation method and process of the ring knife sample are introduced in detail. The direct shear test is carried out on the prepared sample, and the consolidation test is basically different.Basic physical and mechanical properties under mass ratio. After that, the X-ray fluorescence spectrum analysis test of the transparent soft clay sample was carried out with the XRF handheld fluorescence spectrum analyzer, and the element composition type and element composition content of the sample were obtained.(3)This paper uses the GDS flexible wall permeability instrument to measure the permeability coefficient of transparent soft clay with different pressure differences during the test period. It is found that this type of transparent soft clay has a large change in the first half of the test period, and a small change in the second half of the test period. The trend presents a law of change that first decreases and then stabilizes.By comparing the change law of permeability coefficient with different mass ratios,it is found that as the mass ratio increases in the stable phase, the permeability coefficient of the sample decreases, and the gap between the permeability coefficients under different mass ratios is within two orders of magnitude.(4)The preparation process of large-scale transparent soft clay samples and the instruments used in the test were introduced in detail,a simple constant pressure seepage device was assembled, and sections at different spatial positions were selected as the research sections, and simple image processing and The PIVLab analysis software counts the vertical and horizontal velocity values of the cross-sections,compares the velocity frequency values of different cross-sections,and obtains the distribution law of the flow velocity in different cross-sections.
