The purpose of this study:To investigate the drug resistance of pet-derived Salmonella strains to commonly used clinical antibiotics such as beta-lactams,aminoglycosides,quinolones,tetracyclines and amidols in Urumqi,Xinjiang. And to understand the epidemic status of related drug-resistant genes in Salmonella. To provide scientific basis for clinical formulation of rational drug use diagnosis and treatment programs,to curb the spread of drug-resistant genes in bacteria, reduce the emergence of drug-resistant strains, and reduce the risk of drug-resistant bacteria from animals to people.Significance of this study:(1)The epidemic status of Salmonella among pets in Urumqi,Xinjiang can be preliminarily grasped, and the degree of harm of Salmonella to pets can be predicted.(2)The study of drug resistance phenotype can provide important guidance for the scientific application of antibiotics in pet clinic.(3)Detection of drug-resistant genes can grasp the epidemic status of Salmonella from pets, and lay a foundation for further exploring the route of drug-resistant transmission of Salmonella.Method:A total of 307 samples were collected from the rectum of pets with anal swabs at 6 pet hospitals and 1 stray animal rescue station in Urumqi,Xinjiang.Salmonella was identified by primary screening of SS medium and PCR detection.Minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of 12 antimicrobial agents was determined by agar dilution method.PCR method was used to detect the PMQR factor,?-lactamase gene, aminoglycoside resistance gene, tetracycline resistance gene and amide alcohol resistance gene of Salmonella.Result:99 strains of Salmonella were isolated and identified by the above method, the isolation rate was 32.2%.The isolation rate of Salmonella in the stray dog was 78.4%(29/37),and the isolation rate of domesticated Salmonella was 25.9%(70/270).The detection rates of drug resistance genes were as follows:blaTEM,oqxA,aac(6')-Ib-cr were 1.0%,ant(3")-Ia,tetA and tetB were 2.0%,floR was 3.0%.No other genes were detected.Only two Salmonella strains carried ant(3 ")-Ia+tetA+tetB resistance genes. Conclusion:The resistance of Salmonella in pets in this area is not serious, but there is still a risk of drug-resistant strains spreading between pets and humans. For pet-origin Salmonella, dogs and cats can be treated with cephalosporins(ceftiofur)and aminoglycosides(gentamicin, ampramycin and amikacin)antibiotics, and the medication can be adjusted in time according to the results of the drug sensitivity test. The detection rate of antibiotic resistance genes of Salmonella pet origin in Urumqi was not high.Only two Salmonella strains had ant(3")-Ia+tetA+tetB coexistence.According to the results of drug susceptibility test, there is a correlation between the detected drug resistance phenotype and drug resistance genes.Due to the close relationship between pets and people, the status of pets in society is becoming more and more important. Therefore, the problem of drug-resistant Salmonella resistance and drug resistance genes should be paid more attention.
