The refractive index of the fiber Bragg grating core changes along the period,so that the light incident on the grating produces a diffraction effect and realizes a filtering effect.Because of its low loss,low cost,anti-electromagnetic interference and high temperature resistance,fiber Bragg gratings have been widely used in the field of optical communications and sensing..At this stage,the preparation process of fiber Bragg gratings is very mature,but on-site process operators are not familiar with grating theory,so they cannot design gratings.In practical applications,the structure of the fiber Bragg grating has a significant effect on its spectrum.Which requires preparation personnel to understand the grating structure,and according to the application,to design and prepare a fiber Bragg grating that meets the conditions.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a software to visually express the relationship between grating structure and spectral characteristics.In this paper,a visual fiber Bragg grating simulation software is developed based on the transmission matrix method and the layer peeling algorithm,which realizes the spectral simulation of uniform fiber Bragg grating,non-uniform fiber Bragg grating,cascaded fiber Bragg grating,and grating structure simulation of channel spectrum.And laid the foundation for the preparation of the grating.The research contents are mainly as follows:(1)Starting from the theory of fiber Bragg grating coupled mode,the paper carried out research on the forward design algorithm of fiber grating based on the coupling theory to derive fiber Bragg grating transmission matrix method.According to the structural parameters of the grating,the spectral characteristics of uniform fiber Bragg gratings,the spectral characteristics of non-uniform fiber Bragg gratings,and the spectral characteristics of cascaded fiber Bragg gratings are simulated.(2)Research on the inverse design algorithm of fiber Bragg grating based on the layer peeling algorithm.According to the spectral characteristics,the basic parameters of fiber gratings such as period distribution and refractive index modulation distribution are obtained by reverse deduction to provide guidance for the preparation of gratings in the later stage.(3)Completed the simulation software interface development based on APP designer.Input the structural parameters in the front-end interface to simultaneously call the background program to complete the simulation of the target spectrum.Users can input the grating structure parameters to design and simulate the spectral characteristics of the grating.The structural parameters of the fiber Bragg grating can be obtained by inputting the shape parameters of the spectrum.The above provides parameter guidance for grating preparation.
