| Based on publicly published literature, commercial databases, and previous scientific research results, systematic statistical analysis and petroleum system analysis are used to discuss the correlations between tectonic evolution sedimentation, source rock seals, and other petroleum elements in the passive margin basins in the Arabian Plate.Focus on exploring relationships to the enrichment of hydrocarbon in the study area. The research results show that:(1)There are five stages of tectonic sedimentary evolution in the study area as a whole, and the basins have "same sequence of evolution happened at different ages" characteristics, corresponding to the development of the intra-craton,the back-arc,the passive margin and Four super petroleum systems with the active margin;(2)The distribution of oil and gas in Central Arabia and the Rub’ Al Khali Basin in the planar area has an absolute advantage. Most of the oil in the vertical strata is concentrated in the Jurassic and Cretaceous, but gas is mainly rich Concentrated in the Permian and Triassic;(3)The differential enrichment of hydrocarbons is mainly controlled by three factors: the regional distribution of oil and gas is related to the high-quality source rocks and the positive structural trends of basins, while the vertical strata distribution is controlled by the regional seals. |
