With the vigorous development of marine engineering,floating breakwaters that are convenient to construct,easy to disassemble,friendly to the marine environment,and have obvious wave-eliminating effects have attracted more and more attention.The floating breakwaters are subjected to relatively large wave loads during wave-elimination work.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the wave load on the floating breakwater and analyze the strength of the structure itself.This paper focuses on a new type of double-tube double-plate floating breakwater.Physical model tests and numerical simulations are employed to study the influence factors of wave loads on floating breakwaters.Based on the obtained wave loads,a model is established by the use of ANSYS finite element analysis software to perform static analysis on floating breakwaters.The following is the main work content:(1)The influence factors of the wave load on the double-tube double-plate floating breakwater were analyzed through physical model tests.The results show that the wave height is an important factor affecting the wave load.The larger the wave height,the greater the wave load;with the increase of the period,the wave load increases,and the wave load increases more obviously under the conditions of large wave height.The change of the immersion depth has no significant effect on the horizontal wave force of the floating breakwater,and the vertical wave force increases slightly with the increase of the immersion depth.The increase in the height of the vertical plate mainly leads to an increase in the horizontal wave force,and has no effect on the vertical wave force.(2)Based on OpenFOAM,a numerical wave flume model of the double-tube double-plate floating breakwater was constructed,and the influence of the wave height,the period,the immersion depth,the height of the vertical plate and the diameter of the cylinder on the wave load of the floating breakwater were studied.Besides,the numerical results were compared with the results of physical model test.Results show that the numerical wave model shows good reliability while the simulation results are in good agreement with the physical model test results,and have similar changes with the influencing factors.In addition,the increase in the diameter of the cylinder has little effect on the wave load on the structure.(3)The finite element model of the double-tube double-plate floating breakwater is established to study the stress distribution of the side block,bottom plate and steel frame and stress trend with wave height and period.The influence of horizontal and vertical wave force on the stress of floating breakwater is further explored.Finally,the strengthening measures of increasing the thickness of the bottom plate are analyzed,which provides a basis for the optimal design of floating breakwaters.
