The silicon photonic chip is an excellent platform for nonlinear optical conversion.In order to meet the requirements of classical four-wave mixing and quantum entangled photon generation,this paper optimizes the design of silicon microring resonators,real-izes the precise adjustment of quality factors of the four interacting field in the micro-ring resonator and improves both the four-wave mixing efficiency and the generation rate of entangled photons,which provides new ideas and technical approaches for all-optical in-formation processing and optical quantum information.The main research contents of the thesis include:(1)By establishing the frequency domain coupled mode equation,the conversion effi-ciency formula of four-wave mixing in the pulse pumped microring resonator is derived for the first time.The optimal coupling condition for optimizing the conversion efficiency is that the pump and the converted light field are at their respective overcoupling point;(2)The interferometer is designed as the microring coupler to realize continuous and in-dependent adjustment of pump,signal and idler' s quality factors in four-wave mixing,and find a technical way to achieve optimal coupling conditions;(3)The silicon micro-ring resonators coupled by a single interferometer and dual inter-ferometers were experimentally fabricated.It was verified that the highest continuous four-wave mixing efficiency requires four waves to be at the critical coupling point,and the pulse pumped four-wave mixing requires both the pump and the converted photons should be at the overcoupling point;(4)The efficiency of the spontaneous four-wave mixing process is optimized by the inter-ferometer coupled micro-ring resonator.The optimal coupling conditions under different conditons of whether the pump,signal and idler photons' quality factors are independent or not are achieved and entangled photon pairs with high brightness and high signal-to-noise ratio are generated.When the continuous power is 271?W,the highest photon pairs rate is as high as 20305 Hz,the on-chip photon generation rate is 3.74 MHz,and the density is 2.4 ×109 pairs.s-1.nm-1.mW-2,which is among the highest results reported.
