China's marine economic activities are increasing day by day.There are frequent marine emergencies and marine disasters such as oil spill,red tide,invasion of foreign ships in the surrounding waters.These problems have adverse effects on the marine environment,transportation,marine development engineering and military activities.It is necessary to identify and detect these marine targets effectively.When detecting sea targets,there are some special problems,such as sea fog,water vapor and complex light interference,which lead to the problems of low contrast between typical sea targets and ocean background and "not clear",and "not far away" due to sea fog interference.Polarization imaging has the technical advantages of penetrating sea fog and highlighting targets,which is expected to solve the above problems.Through the analysis of polarization imaging system,it is found that the problem of polarized light transmission is the weak link in the four links of target polarizing,transmission,imaging and processing.Therefore,it is very important to study the propagation characteristics of polarized light in complex sea fog environment.During the transmission of polarized light in complex sea fog environment,it will collide with the surrounding sea fog aerosol particles,resulting in complex optical effects such as light attenuation,absorption and scattering.The light scattering and attenuation of sea fog aerosol particles and a lot of noise interference caused by sea surface solar flare will lead to the failure of some functions of photoelectric detection equipment,the most important of which is the optical intensity caused by scattering The image contrast is low and cannot be recognized,which is equivalent to the deterioration of the optical modulation transfer function of photoelectric detection equipment.Due to the advantages of polarized light detection technology in penetrating sea fog and highlighting targets,it has been widely concerned in the field of marine target detection and recognition.However,due to the complex and changeable sea fog environment,the transmission characteristics of polarized light in complex sea fog environment need to be further studied and discussed.In order to solve the above problems,this paper systematically studies the transmission characteristics of polarized light in complex sea fog environment from three aspects of theoretical calculation,indoor hardware in the loop simulation experiment and field test,and establishes the transmission and scattering model of polarized light in non spherical sea fog aerosol medium.Based on the theoretical research and the light scattering effect of non spherical sea fog aerosol particles,this paper provides a theoretical basis for further research Furthermore,the propagation characteristics of polarized light in complex sea fog environment are explored,and the nonspherical effect of sea fog aerosol particles is inversed and verified.The experiment of polarized light transmission in simulated sea fog environment and the test of polarized light transmission characteristics in actual sea fog environment were carried out,and the influence and law of different polarized light transmission characteristics in different sea fog environment were studied and mastered.It provides theoretical basis and practical reference for the further development of polarized light transmission technology in complex sea fog environment,and provides theoretical and technical basis for high-precision imaging detection of marine targets.
