With the increasing shortage of fresh water resources,seawater desalination project is developing rapidly,in which reverse osmosis technology has become the most widely used seawater desalination technology relying on its own technology maturity and convenience.At present,the design of reverse osmosis desalination project mainly depends on the traditional engineering design experience and the calculation software provided by the manufacturer.Although it can ensure the basic requirements of the design,it can not guarantee the optimal design results.Therefore,it is necessary to adopt the method of process integrated design to carry out the overall configuration design of reverse osmosis project,so as to achieve the purpose of significantly reducing the total investment cost and effectively reducing energy consumption.Firstly,the components of reverse osmosis system are discussed.Considering the existence of concentration polarization,the process unit model of reverse osmosis membrane is described.The process model of reverse osmosis engineering is built based on the two process structures of one stage and one stage and two stages.Two single objective(total investment level and unit water consumption)mixed integer nonlinear programming and a multi-objective mixed integer nonlinear programming are established.Secondly,the concept of "embodied energy" is introduced,the calculation process of multi-scale input-output method of embodied energy is given,and its concept is introduced into reverse osmosis engineering,followed by the evaluation procedures of Engineering energy-saving potential,and the energy-saving evaluation is carried out combined with a case project.It is confirmed that the system accounting method has good docking with the energy accounting of the project,and can improve the accuracy of energy consumption measurement of the project.Then,innovatively introduce embodied energy into the design of reverse osmosis project,and further optimize the design of reverse osmosis project configuration process.Compared with the data obtained above,it is found that this model can better describe the configuration structure and energy consumption composition of the project,and can reduce the total investment cost of the project on the premise of meeting the lowest energy consumption.This work provides an effective solution for the project to reduce the investment cost and save energy consumption.Finally,the influence of energy recovery device on energy saving potential and configuration of reverse osmosis project is discussed.Based on the existing pump motor energy recovery test-bed,the simulation experiment is carried out,and the corresponding mathematical model of the test-bed is established,and the influence of the energy recovery device on the system energy consumption is obtained.After the experiment,the accuracy of the research method in this paper is verified by comparing with the data of the model solution.
