Ocean development has become an important goal of a strategic power.Regardless of the development of marine resources, marine environmental monitoring,or the development of military ships, all need to be supported by the development of marine equipment."Marine development, materials first." The basis of marine equipment is high-performance materials, and traditional metal materials are still the most widely used in marine engineering. In order to ensure the structural strength and functional requirements of marine equipment, metal composite materials are the first and necessary choice. The biggest challenge for various materials in marine applications is the complex load and corrosion problems. It is of great scientific significance to study the failure laws of metal composite materials under the synergistic effect of load and corrosion.Based on the above problems, this article has done the following research:1)Designed and prepared Ni/Cu series layered composite materials.Use OM,SEM,etc.to perform detailed characterization of the microstructure of the composite material.Use universal testing machine and micro-hardness tester to test the hardness distribution, tensile, bending performance and crack growth resistance of the composite board. The results show that Ni/Cu laminate is an optional material for structural parts.Material analysis not only verifies the feasibility of the preparation process, but also provides a new idea for the preparation of such composite materials.2)Corresponding corrosion experiments are designed based on the characteristics of galvanic corrosion of metal layered composite materials, and the evolution process of corrosion microstructure over time is analyzed by OM and SEM.The corrosion behavior of Ni/Cu laminated composite in neutral and acidic media was characterized in detail.According to the characteristics of materials in different corrosive media, the electrochemical workstation is used to test key parameters such as corrosion potential and corrosion current.Combining experimental phenomena and test data,it reveals the corrosion mechanism of Ni/Cu laminated composite in two corrosive media, summarizes the corrosion laws of materials, and enriches our country’s metal marine corrosion database.3)According to the results of the corrosion experiment, the pre-corrosion experiment of the material is designed, and the overall mechanical properties of the material after the pre-corrosion are analyzed through the tensile and three-point bending tests.By comparing the experimental data before and after corrosion with the fracture morphology after failure, the influence of corrosion effect on the static mechanical properties of Ni/Cu composites is analyzed, and the failure mechanism of the materials before and after corrosion is further discussed. The Abaqus software was used to simulate the overall mechanical properties of the material before and after corrosion, and the J-C constitutive model was selected for qualitative analysis of its fracture behavior, which verified the unique delayed necking fracture mode of the laminated composite. The relationship between corrosion and mechanical properties established by combining experiments and simulation methods provides necessary parameters and safety guarantee for its application in actual engineering.
