The wing with distributed electric propellers combines the development of electric motor technology with aviation technology.Because of its useful features, like shot take-off and high lift peformance,it will have a bright future.Ground effect is a common aerodynamic phenomenon when the wing is near the ground. The aircraft will be affected by this effect during take-off and landing,as well as when sweeping through the surface of ground and sea.The combination of the two aspects mentioned will also be useful. In order to study aerodynamic performance of the wing with distributed electric propellers, wingtip vortex characteristics and spatial flow field distribution,a variety of experimental methods are used, including: Force Balance,PIV and the smoke flow visualization. And then, further investigations are carried out on th wing with and without distributed electric propellers. This paper studies how the dynamic parameters, such as the propeller pull coefficient and rotation direction of propellers, effect the capability of the wing.Furthermore, this study focuses on the interaction between the wing distributed electric propellers and ground effects to explore how does the change in height influence the property of this wing. The results show that: the wing with distributed electric propellers effectively increases the wing lift coefficient and delays the angle of stall, which are both effected by the propeller pull force coefficient. Then the propeller rotation direction also affects the wing aerodynamic characteristics. In addition, the existence of the propellers enhances the vorticity of wing tip vortex, which also remains even at a high angle of attack. On the other hand, under the ground effect,as the height between the wing and ground decreases, the lift coefficient of the wing gradually increases;the ground effect makes the flow path of the lower wing surface of the wing obstructed and intensifies the spreading flow. The addition of type power makes the wingtip vortex further shift and deform. The characteristics of the wing with distributed electric propellers meet the development needs of future commuter flying cars and ship-based short-range take-off and landing aircraft. The study of the ground effect during the take-off and landing stage is of great significance for the development of other related projects.
