Freezing adhesion is a natural phenomenon that occurs when water on the surface of an object condenses and adheres to it in an environment below zero. With the improvement of people's living standard, the damage caused by freezing adhesion is becoming more and more significant. However, domestic scholars have a short time on studying freezing adhesion. Moreover, limited by the test conditions, their research contents mainly focus on the numerical calculation of aircraft icing and the application on anti-adhesion technology. Therefore,in the field of freezing adhesion, there are some practical problems, such as lack of experimental data and little research on freezing adhesion mechanism. In this paper,in order to improve test database of freezing adhesion, provide a feasible finite element model of freezing interface and offer the reference about solving the engineering problems related to freezing adhesion,a large number of parameter sensitivity experiments about mechanical properties of different solid phase icing interfaces were completed, and important parameters of icing interface are gained. Finally, this article proposes and verifies the finite element simulation method of freezing interface with cohesive unit. The main research contents of this article include:Firstly,by optimizing the existing method, test a set of simple, convenient and indirect testing system for frozen adhesion strength was proposed, including the test principle, optimization and simulation verification of icing interface forming device, design of test device, etc. Then,by a series of parameter sensitivity tests, the effects of freezing water volume, contact area and loading rate on interfacial freezing adhesive strength were obtained. Finally, the appropriate test device parameters were selected.Secondly, with the self-designed test scheme, the five icing interfaces of aluminum alloy/ice,brass/ice,steel/ice,glass fiber/ice and carbon fiber/ice taken as the test objects,a series of tests about freezing time, ambient temperature that affect the interfacial frozen adhesive strength were completed, including tangential frozen adhesive strength tests and normal frozen adhesive strength tests. Then, five icing interfaces' curves of load and displacement at different freezing times and ambient temperatures were showed.Through the graphic analysis of curves of the interfaces, the tangential, normal frozen adhesion strength and fracture energy of the icing interfaces were obtained. Finally, according to the actual icing situation of the leading edge of a wing,a finite element model of aluminum alloy/ice leading edge with cohesive interface was established.Combined with experimental data and the actual thickness of the interface,a cohesive interface related parameters was modified and the pull load of the icing interface was predicted.Through the research of freezing interface, the feasibility of ice cohesive unit simulation interface was verified.
