Symmetry and asymmetry are ubiquitous in classical and quantum world, every symmetry of the dynamics implies a conservation law,and asymmetry,as unspeakable coherence,is non-increasing under group covariant time evolution. The Jaynes-Cummings model,an ideal paradigm for atom-field interaction, plays a fundamental role in cavity quantum electrodynamics.Since quantum asymmetry is a fundamental tool for studying natural phenomena, and the Jaynes-Cummings model is an important natural phenomenon,it is appropriate to study the Jaynes-Cummings model with quantum asymmetry.Asymmetry measurement, called trace velocity, constructed from the trace distance, describes the property of the total system and the atom and the light field. We would rediscover the correlation between atom and field, from quantum asymmetry described by trace velocity,as the perspective of quantum information theory. In chapter one,the context of this paper is explained in more detail. In chapter two,the Jaynes-Cummings model is briefly reviewed, and the graph of collapse-revival phenomena is drawn by the program. In chapter three, the trace velocity is proposed as a measure of quantum asymmetry, and its properties are studied. In chapter four,in order to better demonstrate the nature of the trace velocity, the trace velocity of twostate system is calculated. In chapter five, the coupling of atom superposition state and photon number state is calculated, shows that the trace velocity can be used to detect entanglement. In chapter six,the coupling of atomic mixed state and photon superposition number state is calculated, shows the process that the atom extracts quantum asymmetry from the light field. In chapter seven, the coupling of the atomic excited state and the photon coherent state is calculated, shows that collapse-revival phenomena is observed from the perspective of quantum asymmetry. In chapter eight,it is an end with a summary of the full text.
