Refers to the flow in the rock mass is one of the advantages of flow,mean flow phenomenon inside the rock mass in a common process of moisture migration,based on the fused quartz sand to establish the physical model of porous media,refers to the flow in the process of migration in soil layer,implemented inside the porous media refers to the formation and development of the whole process of flow visualization.The formation and development of finger flow were studied and discussed by changing the influencing factors,and the porous media models under different conditions were qualitatively described by PCAS digital image analysis technology.The index flow width is an important index to describe the geometric shape of the index flow.Combining with the calculation expressions of the index flow width obtained by domestic and foreign researchers through a large number of experiments,the calculation results are compared with the experimental results,and the calculation expressions are compared and analyzed.The research work and main results of this paper are as follows:(1)reading the references at home and abroad,the quartz sand as porous media with different particle size of simulated material,the study made a quartz sand porous media model experiment device,the device can simulate refers to the flow in porous media seepage status of internal migration and real-time all-round display the entire process,the model can be widely used in indoor test.(2)On the basis of understanding the model experiments of finger flow at home and abroad,the paper conducts simulation experiments of finger flow.The migration process of tracer in porous media was recorded by camera,and the permeation law and distribution characteristics of finger flow in the media model were revealed.The image analysis and qualitative description of porous media were carried out by PCAS digital image analysis technology,which provided a feasible experimental scheme for the subsequent research.(3)the system of indoor experiments,the change of different experimental conditions,such as,particle size,moisture content,initial moisture content of the porous media more groups of experiments are compared,and on the geometrical characteristics of mean flow changes(refers to the flow width)is described,the application of digital image analysis technology to various experimental analysis and processing,the medium and obtain statistical parameters and geometric parameters.The finger flow width of each medium is calculated by formula,and the calculated results are compared and analyzed with the experimental results.(4)By analyzing the experimental data and comparing the experimental data of each formula in Origin software,the calculation formula which is most close to and accurate to the experimental measured results can be obtained.The results and conclusions can provide reference for similar seepage phenomena.
