It is self-evident that energy plays an important role in national military,economic,technological and social development as well as people's production and life.With the implementation of the strategic goal of transferring China to the west,the requirements for green environmental protection of energy are constantly improving.Therefore,it is an important requirement for the development of new energy to adapt measures to local conditions.As a new type of green energy in the deep underground,geothermal resources are widely valued for its clean and renewable advantages.However,due to the formation mechanism of geothermal resources,it has the disadvantages of large buried depth and difficult exploration,development and utilization.In Zhenglan Banner of Xilinguole League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,due to the high dependence of mineral development,water for human and animal husbandry and tourism development on water resources,water shortage not only restricts the local economic development,but also affects people's life.Therefore,the requirements of water supply and heat supply need to be solved urgently.The geothermal system can be divided into uplift mountain convective type and sedimentary basin conduction type due to geothermal formation mechanism.In the former,the fault structure is not only the channel of heat conduction and water conduction,but also the main heat storage area.In the conductive geothermal system of sedimentary basin,the fault structure is the hot water enrichment area.Therefore,in the early exploration work,the identification of fault structure is an important sign to search for geothermal resources,and more accurate geophysical exploration can have a more accurate understanding of the occurrence and scale of faults and other factors.Based on the water source exploration project of the seventh Institute of Geology and mineral resources exploration and development of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in Zhenglan Banner,this paper aims to preliminarily determine the stratigraphic structure and fracture distribution through the CSAMT survey,so as to provide reference materials for geothermal resources development in this area and provide geophysical basis for geothermal resources development.In this paper,the development process,principle,working steps and equipment parameters of CSAMT are described.Secondly,the main elements of geothermal resources in this area are summarized and studied,which are heat reservoir,cap rock,heat source and heat flowchannel.Finally,combined with the field work and the geological data of the study area,inversion and geological interpretation of the measured data are carried out.According to the geophysical exploration results,the fault structure and water bearing stratum configuration are inferred,and finally the thermal well and thermal storage range are determined.The study shows that CSAMT and its inversion geological interpretation have good application in the field of geothermal exploration.While providing geophysical data for the follow-up development of geothermal resources in Zhenglan Banner,Xilingol League,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,the field data collection,data processing and analysis and geological interpretation of CSAMT are also made reference resources.It provides a reference for geothermal resources exploration in other regions in the future.
