A large number of rare and beneficial metal elements are distributed in coal,but only germanium has been successfully recycled from coal for a long time.The recovery of germanium is on a large scale.Germanium is a kind of organophilic and dispersed metallic element,which is mainly manifested in the fact that germanium is not mineralized in the crust alone,but is usually associated with coal to form coal and germanium deposits.Extreme germanium deposits have been discovered in some coal producing areas at home and abroad,and the representative ones in Inner Mongolia are Shengli and Yimin coalfields in Erlian Basin.In this paper,the coal-germanium deposit in Wulantuga mining area,Shengli coalfield,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is taken as the research object.Combined with the existing drilling reports,the horizontal and longitudinal distribution of germanium element in coal seams is analyzed.By means of coal industry analysis,XRF analysis and ICP-MS analysis,the controlling factors of germanium in coal and the metallogenic environment of coal-germanium deposit are discussed.At present,there is no unified understanding of the distribution law of germanium in coal seams.This study is based on the original drilling report of germanium samples collected in Wulantuga mining area to analyze and conclude the horizontal and vertical distribution law of germanium in coal.In the horizontal distribution,germanium is mainly enriched in the southwest area of Shengli coalfield.Therefore,it is considered that the germanium in coal comes from the germanium rich source area in the southwest of Shengli Coalfield.In the longitudinal distribution law,the accumulation peak of germanium appeared at the bottom,middle and top of the coal seam,while the content of germanium was low at the top and bottom of the coal seam.Therefore,germanium entered the coal seam mainly in the peatification stage of coal formation,and germanium rich fluid was enriched in the peat swamp.However,the irregular distribution of germanium content peak in coal seams is caused by the change of sedimentary environment and geological structure in the basin during coal forming period,which affects the supply of germanium rich fluid from germanium rich source areas to coal forming plants.By studying the correlation between germanium and ash yield,volatile yield and total sulfur content in coal seam,it is found that the content of germanium in coal seam has a certain correlation with ash yield,volatile yield and total sulfur content,and the ash index of coal has a certain negative correlation with the content of germanium element.The content of germanium in coal is positively correlated with volatile yield and total sulfur content to some extent,which indicates that the formation of Wulantuga coalgermanium deposit is affected by the organic matter in coal,and the coal and germanium deposit is more favorable to be formed in reducing environment.On the whole,the coal and germanium deposit in Wulantuga was provided by the external germanium rich source area,and the germanium containing fluid was enriched in the coal seam through water dynamics during the peatification stage of the coal forming stage.The enrichment and mineralization of germanium in coal is mainly controlled by the organic matter in coal and the external coal-forming environment.
