In order to screen out the suitable tree species and grass species for planting in the coal mine slash of northwest arid desert area,this paper took the artificial planting and wild vegetation in LingWu and WuHai coal mine areas as the research objects,adopted the methods of field investigation and outdoor pot experiment,combined with the mathematical statistical methods of membership function,In order to screen out suitable tree and grass species for planting on coal mine sites in the arid desert area of northwestern China,this paper takes artificial planting and wild vegetation in the coal mine areas of Lingwu and Wuhai as the research objects,using field surveys and outdoor pot experiments,combined with subordination Function,principal component analysis and scoring evaluation and other mathematical statistical methods,carried out a comparative study of the water physiological characteristics of several tree species in the mining area,comparison of the growth of several tree species and grass species in the Yangchang Bay coal gangue covering land,and the Lingwu and Wuhai coal mining areas field investigation and analysis of vegetation restoration,the results showed that:(3)The transpiration water consumption characteristics of 3-year-old potted plants of 10 tree species were significantly different.The water consumption of Ulmus pumila,Caryopteris mongholica and other tree species was the highest in July,and the daily water consumption per plant reached 0.68 kg and 0.66 kg respectively,while that of Elaeagnus angustifolia and Ammopiptanthus mongolicus was the lowest in September.The water consumption of the same tree species in different growth months is also significantly different.For example,the water consumption of Ulmus pumila is larger in July and August,and the water consumption per plant is more than 0.68 kg,while the transpiration water consumption per plant of Ulmus pumila is only 0.2 kg in September.Comprehensive comparison showed that Ulmus pumila and Amorpha fruticosa had the largest transpiration water consumption,Amygdalus mongolica and Ammopiptanthus mongolicus had the smallest transpiration water consumption;P-V curve water parameters of 10 tree species also had significant differences,analysis of these parameters showed that the most drought resistant tree species were Hedysarum scoparium and Tamarix chinensis,and the least drought resistant tree species were Ammopiptanthus mongolicus and Amorpha fruticosa.Comprehensive comparison by principal component analysis showed that the order of drought resistance of these tree species was:Hedysarum scoparium>Tamarix chinensis>Elaeagnus angustifolia>Amygdalus mongolica>Caryopteris mongholica>Ammopiptanthus mongolicus>Sabina vulgaris>Ulmus pumila>Caragana korshinskii>Amorpha fruticosa.(2)By studying and comparing the growth performance of several tree species and grass species on the gangue covered land in Yangchang Bay,we found the survival rate,preservation rate,plant height growth,crown diameter growth,ground diameter growth,and new shoot length of several tree species.It is different from the growth of new shoots;Using the membership function for the growth of several tree species comprehensive comparison,its growth performance order:Ulmus pumila>Amorpha fruticosa Lin>Hedysarum scoparium>Tamarix chinensis>Caragana korshinskii>Ammopiptanthus mongolicus>Sabina vulgaris>Elaeagnus angustifolia>Caryopteris mongholica.The survival rate,preservation rate and plant height growth of several grass species are also different;through the comprehensive comparison of the growth of several grass species by membership function,the growth order is:Artemisia desertorum>Astragalus adsurgens>Agropyron mongolicum>Glycyrrhiza uralensis>Medicago sativa>Agropyron desertorum>Melilotussuaveolens>Althaea rosea>Sophora alopecuroides.(1)Through the field investigation of the main tree species and grass species in the vegetation restoration construction in Lingwu and Wuhai coal mining areas,it is found that the growth performance of the recommended artificial planting tree species and grass species is different for different site types.The weighted score method shows that the growth performance of Ulmus pumila,Elaeagnus angustifolia,Hedysarum scoparium,Ammopiptanthus mongolicus,Caragana korshinskii and other tree species planted on the gangue hill platform of Lingwu mining area is better,and Astragalus adsurgens,Artemisia scoparia and Artemisia desertorum are better.The results showed that the three species of Artemisia had a better performance;the growth of Caragana korshinskii planted on the slope of gangue hill in Lingwu mining area was better,and the three species of Astragalus adsurgens,Setaria virdis and Chloris virgata were better.In Wuhai coal mine area,two species of Amygdalus davidiana and Amorpha fruticosa planted on the platform of gangue dump performed well,two species of Halogeton arachnoideus and Setaria viridis well;Caragana korshinskii planted on the slope of gangue dump in Wuhai coal mine area performed well,and four species of Astragalus adsurgens,Halogeton arachnoideus,Artemisia scoparia and Artemisia desertorum performed well.
