With the rapid development of modern society,higher requirements have been put forward for the speed and capacity of information transmission.Based on dense wave division and switching technology,the all-optical network conforms to the development needs of high-capacity high-speed communication transmission system,which has been paid more and more attention by researchers.All-optical decision is an important link in all-optical switching,and its application focuses on optical cross-connection,routing selection,wavelength selection and self-healing protection of the all-optical layer.With the rapid development of communication network,communication speed is rapidly improved,which requires faster all-optical decision speed.The all-optical decision adopts the optical control judgment,which has many advantages,such as high speed,stability,high capacity,avoiding photoelectrical conversion,and becomes an important research direction in the field of all-optical.Based on the previous research,experiments and simulations have designed two schemes that can realize all-optical decision.The main contents of the thesis are as follows:(1)The principle of EDFA ring cavity laser and Expounds tthe all-optical decision principle based on it are expounded.At the same time,the structure and working principle of Sagnac interferometer are studied.Sagnac interferometer all-optical decision devices with different structures are introduced,and the mathematical expressions of their decision threshold are deduced respectively.In this thesis,the decision characteristics of the nonlinear Sagnac interferometer all-optical judge with the optical amplifier asymmetrically inserted in the ring are analyzed.Two feasible schemes of the all-optical decision based on the EDFA ring cavity laser and Sagnac all-optical decision based on EDFA and nonlinear effect are proposed.(2)Based on the gain characteristics of EDFA,an all-optical decision based on EDFA ring cavity laser is designed and verified by experiments.A ring cavity laser with EDFA was built,and the vibration starting conditions and output variation rules of the ring cavity laser were studied.On this basis,an all-optical decision was built,and the threshold of the decision was alterable by changing the adjustable attenuator in the ring cavity.The law of the decision was obtained by fixing the pump light and the signal light respectively,and the factors affecting the decision threshold were explored.(3)The all-optical decision based on nonlinear Sagnac interferometer with EDFA using Kerr effect is designed and verified by simulation.The transmission characteristics of continuous signal light and pulse signal light in the Sagnac ring are studied.A nonlinear Sagnac interferometer all-optical decision with EDFA was built.The decision rule of the detector was explored by using continuous light and pulse light as signal respectively.The influence of SBS and amplifier gain change on the decision result was studied.
