Abstract/Summary:
The CSR external-target Experiment under construction is mainly used to study the phase structure of nuclear matter and the equation of state of nuclear matter and other important scientific problems. The experiment involves a variety of detectors.Among them,TOF detectors are an important means to realize the identification of charged particles in the GEV energy region. It is estimated that after triggering, the Data rate of the total experiment can reach 1.25 GByte/s,and the Data rate of the TOF system can reach 99.7MByte/s.In order to be compatible with the DAQ system of other subsystems, the DAQ system for TOF detectors in the CEE experiment should take into account the overall requirements and meet the data rate requirements of the total experiment.Based on the analysis of the transmission and processing requirements of the sys-tem,and inspired by the current stream processing ideas of big data processing,a generic D-Matrix data acquisition architecture for stream processing is proposed in this paper. This architecture considers the continuously generated data as streams, and abstracts the processing tasks in DAQ,such as event building and command distribution, into a series of cascade and combination of stream processing nodes. The architecture ab-stracts different information into different streams with a unified standard data frame and standard interface, and applies the unified transmission model to different technolo-gies.So the transmission and processing parts of the DAQ system are dec, allowing it to be flexibly applied to other experimental platforms. As a result, the transmission and processing parts of DAQ system are decoupled, and D-Matrix can be flexibly applied to other experimental platforms. In addition, the stream processing nodes in the D-Matrix architecture are highly modular and implemented in both software and firmware,so they can be flexibly deployed in the system. In this paper, the D-Matrix stream processing data acquisition architecture is pro-posed,and the schemes of its core component modules are described in detail, which in-cludes the transmission model and sream processing nodes which can be used in differ-ent transmission scenarios. On the basis of analyzing the stream of the system, different stream processing modes are given. Then the hardware architecture of the data acquisi-tion system for TOF detectors in CEE experiment is introduced.Based on the analysis of system resources and stream information, the D-Matrix architecture is applied to the hardware architecture to fulfill the DAQ system processing requirements. Finally, the function and performence of the system are tested.Test results show that the transmis-sion model and stream processing nodes work well, the whole system works stably, the system can assemble data correctly and also distribute the command well. The D-Matrix stream processing data acquisition architecture proposed in this paper can be flexibly expanded to cope with the expansion of future experiment scale.Meanwhile, this generic architecture can be conveniently applied to other experimental platforms.
