Study On Seed Dormancy And Germination Characteristics Of 10 Species Of Cyperaceae

The Cyperaceae has good adaptability,habitat is broad,and has high potential value.At present,there are few studies on the seed germination of Cyperaceae,and seed germination is a very important part in plant life history,which is not conducive to the promotion and utilization of plants.In this paper,the effects of temperature,light,water and soil acidity on seed germination were studied by using 10 species of Cyperaceae.The dormancy type and method of break dormancy were determined.The main results are as following:1.The optimum germination temperature of Carex filicina Nees is 25?;the optimum germination temperature of Carex cruciata Wahlenb.is 20/30?;the optimum germination temperature of Mariscus javanicus(Houtt.)Merr.et Metc.is 20?;the optimum germination temperature of Pycreus flavidus(Retz.)T.Koyama,,Cyperus exaltatus.and Cyperus pilosus Vahl.is 20/35?;the optimum germination temperature of Cyperus iria L.is 20/35,25/35?;the optimum germination temperature of Cyperus alternifolius L.is 25/35?;the optimum germination temperature of Fimbristylis dichotoma is 15/30?.Variable temperature and light are more conducive to the germination of Cyperaceae.Carex filicina Nees and Carex cruciata Wahlenb.do not exist dormancy.Mariscus javanicus(Houtt:)Merr.et Metc.,Pycreus flavidus(Retz.)T.Koyama,Cyperus iria L.,Cyperus exaltatus,Cyperus alternifolius L.and Cyperus pilosus Vahl.are exist shallow physiological dormancy.Fimbristylis dichotoma has moderate physiological dormancy.C.baccans has deep physiological dormancy.2.Hormone treatment and low-temperature stratification can break the shallow physiological dormancy,but the low-temperature stratification effect is not good for hormone treatment.Low-temperature stratification can break the moderate physiological dormancy.3.Carex filicina Nees,Pycreus flavidus(Retz.)T.Koyama,and Cyperus pilosus Vahl.are both drought-resistant and acid-resistant;Carex cruciata Wahlenb.has the worst drought resistance;Mariscus javanicus(Houtt.)Merr.et Metc.has the worst acid resistance.4.Pycreus flavidus(Retz.)T.Koyama,is suitable to use 100 ?mol/L GA3 and 100?mol/L MLT to relieve dormancy.Fimbristylis dichotoma are suitable for breaking dormancy through temperature change and low temperature stratification treatment.The remaining seeds are suitable for breaking dormancy through temperature change treatment.C.baccans is not germinate under all treatments.5.Carex cruciata Wahlenb.and Cyperus iria L.can use artificial aging to predict the storage stability of seeds.The result of artificial aging of Pycreus flavidus(Retz.)T.Koyama,Cyperus pilosus Vahl.,Cyperus alternifolius L.,Fimbristylis dichotoma and Cyperus exaltatus can only be used as a reference,the storability of seeds cannot be fully predicted.
