Quantum secure communication originates from the need for people to keep their communication activities secret.Quantum key distribution(QKD)technology is the technical basis for the unconditional secure communication between the communicating parties.However,due to the special decentralized storage characteristics of quantum keys,neither QKD networks can efficiently and stably distribute secret-key resources nor large number of keys can be effectively used.At the same time,the destructiveness of the classic quantum key pool(QKP)on the unconditional security of quantum keys has been questioned by the academic community.Therefore,how to solve the problems of imbalanced distribution of secret-key resources,low utilization and poor security by constructing virtual quantum key pools(VQKPs)has become the focus of research.Based on software defined network(SDN)technology,this paper reconstructs the classic QKP,and proposes VQKPs strategy.It has successfully achieved good performance in terms of secret-key resources utilization,services successful probability and services security.The main work and innovations of the paper are as follows:1.The construction mechanism of a quasi-real-time quantum key pool(QRT-QKP)is proposed.Through the analysis of the unconditional security and life cycle of the quantum keys,QRT-QKP is proposed to solve the problem of unconditional security breach of secret-key resources caused by storing quantum keys.Then in SD-QKDN,the QRT-QKP construction mechanism driven by SDN controller is proposed,laying a technical foundation for the construction of VQKPs.2.The QRT-VQKP construction strategy is proposed.By designing a QRT-VQKP construction strategy and analyzing network parameters that affect its performance,QRT-VQKP construction strategy is designed and the entire process of carrying encrypted services is improved through QRT-VQKPs.Finally,it is verified through simulation that the QRT-VQKP construction strategy has superior performance compared to the classic QKP.3.The MP-QRT-VQKP construction strategy based on SDN technology is proposed.First,a feasibility study of MP-QRT-VQKP is introduced.Then SDN technology is introduced to complete the construction of the QRT-VQKPs.The workflow of secret-key resources distribution in the controller of SD-QKDN with MP-QRT-VQKPs is designed.Simulation results show that compared to classic QKP,the MP-QRT-VQKP construction strategy successfully achieves good performance in terms of secret-key resources utilization,services successful probability and services security and the performance of QKD networks has been improved significantly.
