Graphene is a planar carbon nano-material which consists of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in honeycombs.Widely attention has been attracted since some graphene samples were extracted from graphite by mechanical peeling method, which benefits from many characteristics of graphene, such as excellent thermal conductivity, strong current carrying capacity and so on.In the field of microwave, graphene has played an important role in the development of miniaturized microwave devices in terahertz band.At present, its surface conductivity can be regulated by bias voltage. The main application at present is that its surface conductivity can be adjusted by bias voltage.According to the properties of graphene, two kinds of antennas are designed in this paper. The main work is as follows:1.Proposing a narrow-beam antenna based on graphene grid.Narrow-beam antennas are widely used in modern communication, which can improve communication capacity and have strong anti-interference.The Fabry-Perot resonator antenna can be used to superimpose the phase, which can narrow the beam width and suppress the sidelobe when the condition of the resonant cavity is satisfied.2.Proposing a Fabry-Perot resonant antenna based on graphene patch array. The antenna works in low terahertz band.In this band, graphene can be analyzed by Drude model, and the relationship between conductivity and chemical potential of graphene can be obtained. The surface conductivity of graphene can be changed by controlling the chemical potential of graphene.Adjusting the conductivity of graphene in a certain frequency range to meet the resonance conditions can improve the antenna directivity and achieve frequency reconfiguration.Compared with the graphene sheet, the graphene patch array can provide more degrees of freedom to adjust the conductivity of graphene which makes the antenna perform better. Two kinds of graphene-based antennas are designed in this paper. The first one focuses on narrowing the beam width, and the second one aims to improve the directivity and realizes frequency reconfiguration.
