With the continuous construction of new infrastructure in my country,a large amount of earthwork will inevitably be excavated. If it is not used, there will be a large number of artificial slope projects such as waste dumps, dumps, and tailings ponds. In order to study the impact of rainfall(duration, rain intensity, etc.)on the stability of the waste dump, this article takes the stability of the slope of the waste dump as an example to collect and organize relevant data(project overview, regional natural geographic conditions Overview, engineering geological conditions),obtain the relevant parameters of spoil and the original stratum structure(elastic modulus, internal friction angle, cohesion, bulk density,Poisson's ratio),through field investigation, indoor and outdoor tests and software simulation calculation Combined with the research methods, the effects of different rain intensity and rainfall duration on the stability of the waste slag yard are studied.Reorganize and summarize the relevant theories for slope stability analysis under rainfall conditions.Introduce the strength reduction method, unsaturated soil strength theory and rainfall infiltration theory.Carry out relevant tests on the waste slag yard to obtain the particle size grading, water content and permeability coefficient of the waste slag and in-situ soil, and the soil-water characteristic curve of the soil analyzed by software. On the basis of obtaining soil test parameters,three-dimensional seepage and stability analysis of different rainfall were carried out on the waste dump.Studies have shown that: through the results of seepage and stability under different rainfall durations,it is found that under the same rainfall intensity, the longer the rainfall duration, the greater the pore water pressure rise, and the greater the depth of the affected slope body, the greater the decrease in safety factor When the rainfall duration reaches a certain level, the pore water pressure and safety factor will tend to be stable;under the same conditions of rainfall duration, the greater the rainfall intensity, the greater the impact on the pore water pressure of the upper soil body of the spoil ground, and the safety factor The faster it drops, when the rainfall intensity reaches a certain level, the pore water pressure and safety factor no longer change and tend to be stable.
