This thesis is divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction,which con-sists of the research background,the research methods and the basic ideas of research.The second part introduces a cold standby repairable deteriorating system consisting of two dissimilar units with single vacation of a repairman and its mathematical model.The third part firstly rewrites the mathematical model of a cold standby repairable deterio-rating system consisting of two dissimilar units with single vacation of a repairman as an abstract Cauchy problem in a suitable Banach space,then we give the explicit form of the Dirichlet operator and characteristic equations,which correspond to the system,and then we prove that the corresponding operator of the system generates a positive contraction C0-semigroup,thus we obtain the well-posedness of the system and the existence of a unique positive dynamic solution.
