In the civil field of pulse power technology,combining the development of pulse power with the generation of discharge plasma has always been one of the most promising development directions.In order to promote the development of pulse discharge plasma theory,many researchers have carried out related research on the pulse gas discharge mechanism and discharge characteristics,which has promoted the great development of pulse discharge field.However,most researchers use repetitive-frequency high-voltage pulse power supplies.Few people conduct related research on the discharge characteristics of the initial pulse in the pulse train discharge,and few people discuss the difference of discharge characteristics between the initial pulse and subsequent pulses.Therefore,this paper has developed an experimental solid-state switching pulse power,which can output a specified number of pulse train voltages to drive the needle ring dielectric barrier discharge plasma jet device to study the discharge characteristics.The main structure of the pulse power includes two parts,one is the main circuit,and the other is a solid pulse modulation module composed of IGBT series circuits.The main circuit mainly includes a rectifier filter circuit,a soft start circuit,a full-bridge inverter and a high-frequency rectifier circuit and a control circuit,etc.,which are used to generate high-voltage DC.The solid pulse modulation module part consists of 40 IGBTs connected in series to form a group of solid high-voltage switches.In order to achieve the conduction consistency of multiple IGBTs,optical fibers are used to transmit the drive signals,and a set of drive power supplies with high-voltage isolation functions are designed.The design requirement of the pulse power is that it can finally output a quasisquare wave high voltage pulse with adjustable pulse number,adjustable frequency and pulse width,and the pulse edge time is about 50 ns.At the same time,in the whole development process of the pulse power,PSpice simulation software was used.The working process of each part of the circuit is simulated,and the feasibility of pulse power supply design is analyzed.In the subsequent discharge experiment of the pulsed power,the discharge profile of the pulse edge was photographed by an ICCD camera and the discharge area was calculated.The results show that under all experimental conditions,the discharge intensity of the initial pulse is slightly lower than that of the subsequent pulse,and the discharge intensity difference between subsequent pulses is not large.The discharge intensity and discharge area at the rising edge are much larger than the falling edge.Then analysis the impact of pulse voltage amplitude,gas flow,pulse width and pulse interval time on the discharge.The results show that with the increase of pulse voltage amplitude and gas flow,the discharge area of the pulse edge increases.The change in pulse width only affects the discharge at the falling edge.When the pulse width increases from 200?s to 400?s,the discharge area also increases.The effect of the pulse interval time is slightly special.Only when the pulse interval time increases to 1s,the discharge area of the second and third pulses are greatly increase.
