Landslides are a common geological disaster. In China, the casualties and property losses caused by landslides are huge every year.In recent years, there have been more and more landslide events related to artificial activities. In December 2015,the Hong'ao Landfill Site in Guangming New District,Shenzhen, was a major landslide accident caused by groundwater. The impact of human activities in this accident It is also extremely significant. It is particularly important to conduct research on such landslides in order to minimize the occurrence of accidents. In this paper, the Shenzhen Guangming landslide is taken as the engineering background, and the numerical simulation of the landslide is carried out by the PFC software based on the discrete element method(DEM).Considering the effect of groundwater softening on slope stability,a slice model and a three-dimensional model were established to analyze factors such as landslide evolution, motion laws and accumulation characteristics. After data collection and collation,micro-parameter calibration, modeling calculation and other steps, the following conclusions are finally obtained:(1)Groundwater has a great influence on the slope stability of the Guangming Hongao landfill site in Shenzhen;(2)The start phase of the Shenzhen Guangming landslide is affected by the thrust of the top of the slope body. The movement law of the slope body can be roughly divided into three stages: the acceleration stage of the slope body, the acceleration stage of the shear outlet and the accumulation deceleration stage;(3)The accumulation of particles is affected by topographical factors. The deformation of the slope body mainly includes shear deformation at the bottom of theslope body and tensile deformation at the top of the slope body;(4)The simulation results of the slice model and the three-dimensional model can better fit the actual situation, and verify the feasibility of the discrete element method such as PFC to consider the landslide under the action of groundwater. The relevant research methods and conclusions of this paper can be used in related engineering research.By refining the treatment of groundwater and other issues,This method can also be extended to research on a wider range of engineering geology problems such as rainfall and seepage problems.
