Research Of A Public Opinion Evolution Model Based On Opinion Leaders And Cognitive Dissonance

The gathering of people on online platforms and the power of social media platforms have promoted widespread and rapid dissemination of public opinion.Among the viewpoint dynamic models,the continuous viewpoint model Hegselmann-Krause(H-K)is a bounded confidence model,which is applicable to the study of the evolution of public opinion in reality.However,the existing public opinion evolution lacks the analysis of the information flow and emotional behavior of the actual social network,and at the same time,it also ignores the precise search for opinion leaders.Therefore,the improved complex network is used to simulate the real social network,the improved whale optimization algorithm is used to find the opinion leaders,and combined with the optimized H-K model,a public opinion dynamics model based on opinion leaders and cognitive dissonance is proposed.Connections between nodes join local connections.The original BA scale-free network was improved by merging scale-free and small-world features.On the basis of whale optimization algorithm,reputation and objective function are introduced.Use the improved whale optimization algorithm to find the opinion leader.In the model of public opinion evolution,the theory of "cognitive dissonance" describing human emotional behavior is considered.Establish social system and update the opinions and connections of nodes in the network.In this way,the H-K model is optimized.Finally,the optimized H-K model is compared with the evolution of real public opinion,and corresponding conclusions are drawn.The final results show that the evolution of network public opinion is influenced by opinion leaders and confidence threshold.Opinion leaders can guide the evolution of public opinions.The confidence threshold has a great relationship with the trend of public opinion.The government and other relevant departments can lead the trend of public opinion from the perspective of opinion leaders.Compared with the original H-K model and the time-varying bounded confidence opinion formation model,the public opinion evolution model based on opinion leaders and cognitive dissonance can fit the public opinion data closer to reality,and the proposed improvement is effective.
