As a very complex natural phenomenon in the marine environment, ocean waves are different from static natural landscapes. No matter from the perspective of time or space, the waves displayed have highly random dynamic effects. How to establish high simulation and real-time wave model has always been a hot topic in the field of computer virtual reality. With the deepening of the understanding of the ocean,no matter from the military, economic or scientific perspective, the importance of the topic is becoming more and more obvious. The current theoretical methods of ocean wave modeling can be divided into four types: physical model-based modeling, geometric model-based modeling, wave spectrum-based modeling, and particle system-based modeling.Among them, the wave model established by the particle system-based modeling method has the characteristics of a wave and has a strong sense of reality. However, due to the particle-based ocean wave modeling method,a large number of random particles need to be used to construct the model, which places high requirements on the computing power of the CPU and the rendering capabilities of the GPU.In response to this problem, first, combined with the theoretical idea of cell automata, the wave model based on particle system was modified and optimized;then, the rendering process and lighting model were optimized at each stage of the rendering pipeline;finally, the theory Construct a complete wave model to model rendering;at the same time, conduct experimental analysis from the perspective of model construction effects, system memory occupation during model construction, average frame rate during model rendering, and time required for a single model construction. The purpose is to verify that the proposed wave system based on the particle system can ensure high fitting effect and optimize performance;at the same time, verify that the system has strong stability, and will not produce additional with the change of the operating platform or the increase of the number of particles.
