The ultra short baseline(USBL)positioning system is an underwater acoustic positioning system that USES underwater acoustic signals to locate,track,and communicate with underwater targets.With the development of Marine industry,the demand for underwater positioning technology is increasing.The demand for positioning technology is gradually developing from shallow sea to deep sea,from single target to multiple target,and from low precision to high precision.The research of multi-target localization algorithm is of great significance to the development of Marine undertaking.This paper mainly studies the hardware platform design of digital processing module of ultra-short baseline positioning system and the realization of multi-target positioning algorithm.Two parts are involved: the first part designs the hardware platform of signal processing module to realize the functions of receiving,processing,storing and controlling the system;In the second part,the Costas frequency hopping signal is used as the response signal of the ultra-short baseline positioning system,and the related time delay estimation algorithm is used to realize underwater multi-target positioning.This paper adopts three slices of TMS320C6416 DSP chip and 1 piece of Altera company Cyclone ? series of 5CEFA7F27 models the FPGA chip as the core device to complete ultra-short baseline positioning system design of digital signal processing platform.FPGA is mainly responsible for the control command,signal storage and transmission of ultra-short baseline positioning system.Three slices of DSP chip is from the dominant mode,from the DSP is responsible for receiving signals processing,complete the correlation time delay estimation algorithm,get the time delay information and to the main piece of DSP,the main pieces of DSP is mainly responsible for forwarding,and the FPGA control instruction to the PC will delay information from pieces of DSP combined with GPS and compass information,the coordinates of target is obtained and uploaded to the PC.The Costas frequency hopping signal is used to simulate the generation of long sequence data of the received signal.After correlation processing with different reference signals,the related peak position of the target can be estimated.Since the Costas frequency hopping signal has little interference between the targets,the Costas frequency hopping signal can be used as the response signal to achieve multi-target positioning.Based on the time delay estimation algorithm,a multi-target localization program was written and downloaded to DSP.
