The soil of urban green space is an important prerequisite for urban rational planning and maintaining ecological balance,is the material basis and environmental conditions for plant growth and development,and plays an important role in beautifying and purifying the urban environment and improving the living standards of citizens.It is of great significance to study the soil condition of park green space in Taiyuan city for filling up the defects of soil data and garden management.In this paper,the physical and chemical properties of 67 samples of 0-10,10-20 and 20-40 cm soil in 38 parks of Taiyuan city were tested and evaluated.The conclusion is as follows:(1)The average soil bulk density of park green land in Taiyuan city is 1.28 g·cm-3,the soil is relatively compact;the average soil saturated water content and field water holding capacity are 36.07% and 25.54%respectively,and the water holding capacity of soil is average.(2)The p H value of the soil in the park green space is mostly alkaline,and a small part is strongly alkaline;the average EC value of the soil is 0.28 ms · cm-1,and the soil is basically not affected by salinization;the average values of organic matter,total phosphorus and available potassium are 22.26 g·kg-1,0.58g·kg-1 and 121.01 g·kg-1,according to the grading standard of soil fertility in the second National Soil Census,the contents of organic matter,total phosphorus and available potassium in the park green land of Taiyuan city are all in the middle level;the average values of nitrate nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen in the soil are 13.40 mg·kg-1 and 0.67 mg·kg-1,and the content of available nitrogen is extremely deficient.(3)The p H value of green space in park belongs to weak variation(the coefficient of variation is2.326%),bulk density,saturated water content,field water capacity,electric conductivity,organic matter,total phosphorus,ammonium nitrogen and available potassium belong to medium intensity variation(the coefficient of variation is 10-100%),nitrate nitrogen belongs to strong variation(the coefficient of variation is 115.021%),and soil has certain spatial heterogeneity.(4)Among the 38 parks in Taiyuan City,21 parks have low soil fertility,the soil fertility index value IFI in the range of 0.2-0.4,the specific performance is the low content of soil organic matter and phosphorus,the extreme lack of nitrogen and the rich content of available potassium.Among them,Jiajie amusement park,Xieyuan Park and Jinyang Street Park have low soil fertility index value IFI,which is lower than 0.3,soil fertility is poor.The main reason is that the park has a large flow of people,high utilization rate,compact soil,and the unscientific application of man-made fertilization also makes the soil nutrient imbalance and fertility decrease.Therefore,we should improve the soil fertility by means of man-made rational fertilization,plant the right plants in the right soil,so that green plants can play their greatest role.
