With the oil and geological exploration enter the area of deeper ground,regular passive anti-skew techniques cannot meet the requirements of vertical drilling.Electronic controlled vertical drilling system which was widely applied cannot tolerant high temperature and easily damaged because delicate electronic and hydraulic parts exists.Mechanical vertical drilling systems(MVDS)avoid those problems,but influenced by the friction torque occurred on flowing valve,their correction accuracy is low.New type of MVDS uses a hydraulic turbine structure makes friction torque lower which means higher correction accuracy.This kind of hydraulic turbine is different of traditional turbine.The hydraulic turbine does not rotate but only provide torque while working.Its inlet flow angle constant for 90°.The design torque of turbine is determined first according to working principle,calculate that the friction torque is 4.46N·m and the starting torque of hydraulic turbine is about 0.363N·m.According to the working principle of the hydraulic turbine and the actual working condition,the range of design torque should be the maximum value closed to friction torque.By analyzing the velocity triangle of liquid,reestablish the quantitative relationships of torque,dimensionless coefficient and leaf structure angle.The structure angle of the turbine under the target torque is ?1k(28).9000?,?2k(28).3499?,the torque is 2.19N·m.The turbine was simulated by CFD.The hydraulic performance of fifth polynomial blade turbine is better than spiral blade and straight blade turbine.When the flow rate is 5L/s,the torque of fifth polynomial blade turbine is 2.17N·m.The correction accuracy of vertical drilling tool with hydraulic turbine structure has been improved obviously.When the turbine's torque meets the design torque,the correcting accuracy of MVDS is significantly improved.The design method for unique turbine which does not rotate under working condition,is able to meet the design requirements for the turbine in a limited designspace.The experience of the design process and the theoretical analysis laid the foundation for similar turbine-designing in the future.
