Recent years,with the fasting development of China's national economy and the rising consumption of resource,more and more International Petroleum Company and scholar drivered their notices on unconventional resources.K coalbed methane field located at S Basin in Queensland of Australia and it was put into production in 2005.The field has been developed into his middle and late periods,led to a more fined geologic model must been given to next actions.This thesis focused on field's history matching,which inevitably get involved in upscaling and physical property analysis,and so on.Based on full researching and analysis of current study results,the research purpose of the paper was to provide technical suggestions for production building efficiently and economically and lower risk of the project,and the subject theme was history matching of coalbed methane field.The main work done was listed as follows:1.Geologic model was composed of 125 fine coal seams because of his thickness and more partings,as a result,the model has a large number of grid and we have to upscaling it.In the choice of permeability upscaling methods,7 simulated cases have been taken and which has a shorter time and a lower error been taken as the final project.When it comes to tectonic upscaling,all fine coal seams were merged into coal member,sublayer or ply level,whether adjacent seams can been merged was according to the error of before and after the upscaling.2.Sensibility analysis.According to statistics probability analysis,we can get the P10 and P90 probability curve,which should been input into model and calculated.Finally,we know the sensibility of every geological parameters based on contrasting result of calculated and initial model.3.History matching.Matching parameters have been divided into empirical parameters and actual parameters.The value and range of empirical parameters could be obtained from research findings of other scholars or contiguous fields data.P10 and P90 is variation range of actual parameters;We must take sensibility analysis,parameters uncertainty and gas/water curve of initial model into consider to know the sequence in adjusting parameters.After that,we logically obtained a model which has a similar nature to actual environment.4.Productivity prediction infill well plan.We can calculate the production of some future years in study area after history matching,and know the insufficiency of LNG contract.Research results of this paper are fully accepted by Arrow project operation team.Some technical proposals are made for production building efficiently and economically and lower risk of the project.Also some results can be served as helpful references for domestic CBM development.
