Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this paper is to identify and pose possible correction to current issues with cybersecurity programs in varying sectors of critical national infrastructure. The study analyzes a broad scope of organizations in order to identify the most suitable practices that can be observed by virtually any entity. The research conducted identified several factors that have contributed to the failure of cybersecurity systems in the past. The resulting recommendations are based upon the findings discovered throughout the research process. The recommendations are ideals that should be able to be implemented with relative ease by organizations in order to ensure the occurrence of more effective cybersecurity practices.
