The purpose of this thesis was to write a grant proposal to obtain funding to implement a mentoring program for 50 African American males who reside in the communities of South Los Angeles, Watts, and Compton. The anticipated outcome of this program is to reduce dropout rates and increase academic performance (grades) among African American males by providing them resources and mentors who will promote positive academic development. Submission and funding of this grant was not a requirement for this thesis project. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | African american, Grant, Program, Males | | Related items |
