The study examined social comparison theory and self-presentation as why women choose to post pictures of their bodies on social media platforms such as Instagram. The study found that women posting photos in either hashtag tend to post sexualized photos of their bodies along with almost always appearing alone in the photos rather than with a group. The study also found that a flat stomach is becoming a body part on women that is becoming more sexualized. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Bodies, Instagram and women, Women choose | | Related items |
