Between 1845 and 1885, more than half a million people traveled on the Oregon-California Trail to the West. Many women made the journey and wrote about their experiences. Through their journals, women related the hardship and loneliness of the Oregon-California Trail . Often, the women had similar journeys, but each also had her own unique story to tell. The stories of the women on the Oregon-California Trail are important to Western History and should be exhibited for people to discover women's roles on the Oregon-California Trail. |
