Abstract/Summary:
The work develops a field method which makes use of selected natural and behavioral sciences data for purposes of landscape interpretation. An environmental ethnography is also a prose synthesis that describes in both the scientist's terms and the user's view the way people use, abuse, control, and perceive local landscapes. The work concludes with the landscape planning applications of these data.
