Abstract/Summary:
The general purpose of this research was to establish new multipliers to be used to predict camber for prestressed concrete members.; Current multipliers provided by the PCI Design Handbook do not provide reasonable prediction of actual camber measured on site for typical double-tee beams manufactured by SAN-VEL CONCRETE CORPORATION, a subsidiary of LONE STAR INDUSTRIES, INC., Littleton, Massachusetts. Therefore, SAN-VEL sponsored a Graduate Student Study Program to determine new multipliers for SAN-VEL double-tee beams. From this research study, new multipliers were obtained for use at SAN-VEL.
