| ;In order to propose a complete model for the coil overlap phenomenon, parameters that can influence the kinetics of the process were studied. The parameters included the water content of the solution, the ion content of copolymers, the temperature, the MW of PS-SSA and the total polymer concentration.;It was found that the water content had no influence on the shielding process. The study of all the other parameters showed that the overlap was occurring through a complex mechanism.
