Preparation and characterization of flexible and rigid rod diacetylene polymers

This thesis describes the research carried out on preparation and characterization of two types of diacetylene polymers.; The first chapter describes polymers with a flexible backbone, which have been prepared from dipropargyl ether of bisphenol A. These macromolecules assume different conformations by rotating around the C-C or C-O single bounds of their main chain.
