A Kenai fjord

A Kenai Fjord is a fragmented novel of unified stories about, a fjord (Rugged Bay) in South-central Alaska. The novel portrays the characters that inhabit this dramatic setting and the challenges they face. The stories take place between the years 1958 and 2014. The main character is Christian and the novel begins and ends with him. The other stories are the people Christian interacts with, through the artifacts they left behind or characters he interacts with directly. The Sugpiaq family, the loggers, homesteaders, dreamers and adventurers, they all come and go, but the land and the water remain indifferent to their meanderings.
