The lack of preventive action in the manufacturing world is one of the greatest causes of non-conformances, high cost and wasted hours. For potential preventive action process improvements, the corrective action system and in-house procedures were reviewed plus employee suggestions were obtained. This paper will document findings which show that implementation of a preventive action process will reduce discrepancies. The time and expense of repairing and reworking discrepancies will be reduced thereby shortening span time and lowering cost while producing a higher quality product. |
