Abstract/Summary:
A comprehensive review of the first set of performance measures adopted by the House of Delegates (House) Team on House Operations was conducted with a goal of evaluating each measure to determine its worth and to create a scorecard to communicate the performance of the American Health Information Management Association's (AHIMA) House of Delegates. The end result is a House of Delegates—Performance Measures Guide, scorecards and an Excel workbook that details delegate performance data. The cornerstone of the project, the Guide, provides explanatory information, a review of each measure and definitions of the scorecards. The evaluation of the performance measures was informed by the literature review with input provided by AHIMA staff and delegates serving on the House Team on House Operations.;Key benefits of the project include 1) performance measures and scorecards, 2) accessible information for stakeholders, 3) education for delegates and CSA leaders and 4) information that can be adapted for local use by AHIMA's 52 Component State Associations (CSAs) with or without a House of Delegates governance structure.
