Abstract/Summary:
Specialty crops are continually being evaluated in the upper Great Plains as a way to supplement or replace income from traditional farm crops of wheat, sunflower, barley and sugarbeets. A study was done with certain flower cultivars to determine yield potential and marketability. Results from a two-year study plus general comments and suggestions on growing, harvesting, and marketing fresh cut flowers are included. The results and information in this paper will be made into an NDSU Extension publication.
