Abstract/Summary:
This thesis uses several techniques to analyze the undergraduate enrollment at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The data used in the analysis was obtained from information reported to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and from their Student Tracking System. One method uses traditional techniques based on student longitudinal studies. Another method is based on techniques used to study the reliability of components in electrical systems. Data produced by each technique is modeled either in the form of an electrical circuit or a digital filter. The parameters for these models are then analyzed. The relative merits of each analysis method are then weighed and compared, and the added benefits of electrical engineering techniques are discussed.
