The variable force associated with high velocity winds is an important factor in the design of thin metal roofs. Standard design procedures use statistical averages derived from wind tunnel tests. The design procedures indicated a need for a testing device capable of producing actual measured wind loading on a full-sized roof structure.; The research contained here in documents the development of such a testing device. Specifically, this study documents the creation of the control method and code needed to achieve convergence of wind tunnel data and magnet response. |
